Tom's Corner...

From the smartest man I know with an insatiable appetite for books, Tom writes...

I am still working on H. P. Lovecraft: The Ultimate Collection: 101 Stories, 45 Poems (Kindle Edition) (see February 11th). It is a looooong book with ALL of his stories. I have finished "The Colour Out of Space," "The Dunwich Horror" and am now working on "The Mound." "Colour" predates "Who Goes There?" (Campbell's story that became two movies called "The Thing") by about 50 years; "Dunwich" is a creepy town that has a creepy family opening the gates to another dimension and letting a monster in; and "Mound" is about an ancient civilization living far underground beneath the Oklahoma prairie. These stories were written in the 1920s and 1930s—they were the precursors for Stephen King, Robert Bloch and other horror writers of the 20th century. I am about ¾ done, will advise.
